Identification of Emergency Nursing Research Priorities
ENA regularly develops research priorities for the field of emergency nursing to provide a focus for nurse researchers’ efforts in conducting research on questions of significance to the emergency nursing practice as well as to emergency care consumers. Identification of research priorities is a function of IENR and its Advisory Council, which represents the collective research expertise of ENA. In November 2011, ENA conducted a survey of its membership to reevaluate the priorities for research pertinent to emergency nursing. Currently, the data from over 2,200 nurses are being analyzed.
